“Koinonia in Christ” is a movement for the spiritual and material fellowship -KOINONIA- in the whole world. The basis and the inspiration of this charism is the Word of God: “They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers” (Acts 2:42).There was fraternal communion among the early Christian community. They prayed together, they helped each other and they shared each other.
The Charism
The charism koinonia is being derived from the fraternal communion that is found in the early Chruistian community described in the Acts of the Apostle. Koinonia in Christ movement prompts the people to experience this communion centered in Christ. Prayer, service and sharing are the three aspects of koinonia in Christ. Through the intimate and personal communion with Christ the people derive power to do various services and through this services there emerge a sharing culture which helps to experience the real communion between the rich and the poor. Mary, Queen of Koinonia is the patron of this movement.
